Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems on Monday reported that it will supply electro-optic systems for the use of US Air Force fighter jets, a contract worth approximately NIS 200 million.

The new projectile, named Rocks, is an advanced, stand-off range air-to-surface missile, which can be launched at a distance sufficient to allow attacking personnel to evade defensive fire from the target area.

The Trophy consists of a radar-detection system that recognizes incoming missiles and projects their trajectories, with launchers that shoot metal pellets, causing the incoming missile or rocket to explode away from the tank.
