Abbas has caught Israel sleeping at the political chessboard and has checked, if not checkmated, the government by stating he will give up the demand for foreign Arabs to flood Haifa and Jaffa.
Beware of false friends. Ban Ki-moon tries to soften up Israel by admitting that the U.N. sometimes is biased against Israel, but not to worry, because peace is on the way.
