The former director of the 92nd Street Y is dead after hanging himself last Friday at his home in Seagate.
In the aftermath of an ugly scandal, as the 92nd St Y starts a search for a new executive director, it should institute guidelines not only about morality and criminality, but also to prevent Jewish communal dollars from being used to support boycotters and other haters of Israel
Given his role in attempting to block the Israeli Philharmonic from giving a purely musical performance at Carnegie Hall, it should be difficult for Waters' supporters to complain about efforts to prevent Waters from appearing to talk about his political views at the 92nd Street Y.
