Walder Education Continues to Establish Chicago as a Destination for Innovation

This summer, Walder Education in Chicago welcomed educators, school leaders, therapists, rabbis, and community professionals from across the United States and abroad – including Switzerland, Canada, and Brazil – for its highly acclaimed Feuerstein Summer Training, further establishing Chicago as a destination for innovative professional learning.
Led by internationally recognized presenters, participants explored research-based strategies that strengthen thinking, boost problem-solving, and increase cognitive development. Throughout the week, they engaged in hands-on learning, guided meditation, collaborative discussions, and practical classroom applications of cognitive skills.
More than a professional development course, the Feuerstein Summer Training is building a community of educational leaders committed to helping every learner reach their fullest potential. Participants described the experience as “transformative,” “inspiring,” “practical,” and “life changing.” Many shared that they left with renewed confidence, innovative teaching strategies, daily-life strategies, time management, thinking and memory skills, and a deeper understanding of how to help children and adults become more intentional, reflective, and successful learners.
"Our vision has always been to make Walder Education a destination where educators come not only to learn new strategies, but also to be inspired, challenged, and equipped to transform the lives of the students they serve. The greatest investment we can make is in the people who shape the next generation," saidMrs.Rouhama Garelick, Founding Director of Walder Education. "When we invest in educators, the impact extends far beyond a single classroom; it reaches families, schools, and communities for generations."
The training also launched the Walder Education Feuerstein Alumni Network, ensuring that learning continues through follow-up coaching, collaborative discussions, and ongoing professional development throughout the year.
