Word Prompt - POPSICLE - Anat Coleman

Growing up in the UK, I was very blessed to visit Israel twice a year. My aunt's freezer would always be stocked with watermelon flavored popsicles with candy “seeds.” Even now, 30 years later, I associate watermelon with those childhood visits.

In the weeks following October 7, I made donations to any Israel-related tzedakah I heard about. Unfortunately, that wasn't sustainable. Instead, I looked for other ways to support Israel and one of those ways became buying Israeli products. I've been looking for those watermelon popsicles with candy seeds but to no avail. If you do come across them, please let me know. In the meantime, I'll continue supporting Israel in whatever small ways I can. Be that Israeli wines, snacks, Judaica, or popsicles.
