What we celebrate on Chanukah is primarily the Maccabees' victory in purging the nation of alien Greek influences that corrupted our thoughts, speech, and deeds, though few know that this is the actual reason.
Aside from the practical wisdom of this strategy, imagine the Kiddush Hashem if tens of thousands of Jews wrote in a common protest candidate name (e.g., "Mr. Morality") on their ballots.
Miles-Shashitsky is running for district leader. If elected, the damage she will do as a more prominent role model to our impressionable youth will increase exponentially. She will also undoubtedly cause many a chillul Hashem as she advances her admittedly ultra-liberal social agenda.
Certainly gelt is important, but can someone show me the Torah sources that put gelt ahead of kedushah? Ahead of murder (assisted suicide)?
I say to Alabamans: vote for Judge Moore. The Lord will not hold you responsible for his possible wrongdoing forty years ago, but will probably look unkindly at your ignoring the liberal, pro-partial birth abortion policies of Doug Jones.
