Eric Ulrich For NYC Public Advocate

In the February 26 special election for New York City Public Advocate we heartily endorse Queens Councilman Eric Ulrich. Among a crowded field, Ulrich stands out, possessing the same family values that The Jewish Press admires.

With Former Public Advocate Letitia James’s election as NYS Attorney General last November, a non-partisan, special election will be held to elect her successor. Under the rules, candidates will not be running with their regular party designations. So Ulrich, a popular and respected Republican, will not be identified as a Republican on the ballot in a city election that has five times as many registered Democrats as Republicans. In addition, there are almost two dozen registered Democrats running, which should dilute the usual Democratic majority.
