Former Chief Rabbi: Pray for Redemption

Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, Israel’s former Sephardi Chief Rabbi, said the current abduction crisis is a unique time for prayer and spiritual awakening because of the overwhelming unity amongst Jews at the present time.

Speaking during an official visit to Sydney, Australia, Rabbi Amar said, “this is a time of Divine mercy (et ratzon in Hebrew), when the Jewish People are entirely united in prayer and concern for the wellbeing of the missing boys. We must scream out and ask God to remove the yoke of bitter exile from amongst the Jewish people. May we merit true redemption soon.”
