Tank Damaged in Battle Between Gaza Terrorists and IDF

A gun battle took place between Israel Defense Force soldiers took place early Thursday when Israeli soldiers defended a work crew near Kibbutz Nirim which came under fire from terrorists across the border fence in Gaza.

Tanks and army helicopters were scrambled to the site.

One tank was damaged when it was hit by a mortar. The IDF is still determining the extent of the damage.

No injuries were reported in Israel.

On Tuesday three soldiers were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded during their patrol of the area.
