Hamas Prepares to Blame Israel if Haniyeh’s Granddaughter Dies

The family of Gaza’s de factor prime minister Ismail Haniyeh apparently is preparing to blame Israel if his one-year-old granddaughter dies after having been rushed to an Israeli hospital for an infection that left her in critical condition.

The prime minister’s son Abdessalam posted on Facebook on Monday that his daughter Amal was being treated at Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petach Tikvah for an infection of her digestive tract that has affected her nervous system.

The family claimed that Israel returned the girl to Gaza in a condition of "clinically dead.”

However, media that reported the story left out one small detail – the infant already was in life-threatening condition before she left Gaza for Schneider.

A military official told The Jewish Press Tuesday evening, “She was in very critical condition when she arrived at Schneider on Monday, and after doctors there saw there was no hope for her to survive, the family took her back home.”

Earlier this year, an Israeli hospital treated Haniyeh's daughter-in-law.
