60-Rocket Barrage Fired at Mount Meron

The Israeli military said 60 rockets were fired at Mount Meron from Lebanon today.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the barrage caused minor damage but no casualties.

Earlier on Wednesday, the IDF confirmed killing senior Hezbollah commander Hossein Ibrahim Mechi in an overnight airstrike.

Mount Meron, in the Upper Galilee, is the location of a sensitive military air traffic control base. Also on the mountain is the burial site of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the founder of Jewish mysticism who died in the 2nd Century.
