IDF Artillery Hits Target in Syria

By Jewish Press News Desk

June 2, 2014, 4 AM ET

An early morning round of rockets hit an area in Israel's north on the Hermon Mountain. At least one hit near an IDF position along the Syrian border, and a mortar fell inside the Israeli-Druze village of Majdal Shams, which is located at the foothills of the Hermon Mountain.

No one was injured in the strikes.

IDF artillery responded with fire at the source of the rockets in Syria.

The IDF said it reserves the right to react to any way and at any time it sees right to protect the citizens of Israel.

It is not known at this time if this was a deliberate attack on Israel, or just spillover from the Syrian civil war.
