IDF Soldiers Who Beat Up Arab Terrorists Punished

Kfir Brigade Commander Colonel Guy Hazut punished Netzah Yehuda ultra-Orthodox battalion fighters who allegedly beat up Arabs suspected of terrorist activity while arresting them, Hakol Hayehudi reported Friday.

According to the ruling of Colonel Hazut, handed down after they had been interrogated by Military Police, one of the soldiers will be re-assigned outside the brigade and another will be suspended from combat duty and be transferred to an administrative role.

Meanwhile, Colonel Hazut on Friday sentenced another soldier from the Netzah Yehuda battalion to 21 days in prison after he had not kept his personal weapon during the "hate wedding" in Jerusalem a few weeks ago, the video of which was later disseminated by the Shabak, allegedly on the orders of Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon.

Three detainees, including the groom, who had been arrested by Israeli police for their participation in the infamous wedding video were released from custody on Friday.
