The twins looks a lot alike.
expresses is not limited to the visual realm - דומה can also mean resembles in behavior or character.
For example:
הוּא מְאֹד דּוֹמֶה לְאָבִיו בָּאֹפִי.
He's a lot like his father in (terms of) personality.
