Iranian Negotiator Hinting at Thaw with Israel

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi told Kol Israel Wednesday that, should Iran reach an agreement in the talks being held in Geneva, "the whole world would benefit." He was clearly indicating that Iran is considering a future, if not near-future rapprochement.

"Every agreement opens new frontiers for everyone," Araqchi told Israel Radio.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel's Foreign Ministry have been warning the world about Iran's campaign of pleasantries, but this has been the first time Iran has targeted this campaign at Israel itself.

MK Tzachi Hanegbi warned in an interview today that the west must not give up an inch in terms of the sanctions on Iran, before there is a complete ending to the Iranian nuclear weapons program.
