(JNi.media) Israel’s Foreign Ministry will strongly protest to the International Red Cross and demand the sanctioning of the Red Crescent medical service, over reports that the latter’s ambulance had failed to treat two severely injured Israelis. The two men, Rabbi Yaakov Litman, 40, and his son Nathaniel, 18, were murdered on Friday, shortly before Shabbat, near Otniel, in the Hebron area. According to Channel 2 News, a Red Crescent ambulance passed by the scene of the crime, slowed down, and, realizing the victims were Jews, drove off without stopping to help.

The Litman family were on their way to a "Bride’s Shabbat", celebrating their daughter’s upcoming wedding this week. Arab terrorists lay in ambush on the side of the road and shot at the passing car. The father and his son were killed on the spot. A boy of about 16 was slightly wounded in the leg and was evacuated with three children and the mother of the family, Noah, who suffered from shock, to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva.

The search for the terrorists continues, focusing mainly in the villages around the town of Dura, where the terrorists' vehicle was found abandoned and burned, similar to the vehicle used in the abduction and murder of three teenagers in the summer of 2014.

The search for the terrorists continues, focusing mainly in the villages around the town of Dura, where the vehicle was found abandoned and burned, similar to the vehicle used in the abduction and murder of three teenagers in the summer of 2014. The Hebron district was put under lockdown overnight Friday as Israeli forces searched for the gunman, Ma’an reported. The IDF closed roads and entrances leading into Hebron-area villages and towns and several military checkpoints were erected across the district. The entrances of the Beit Einun crossroads and Nabi Younis street near Halhul were shut and Arabs under the age of 30 were prevented from exiting the city of Hebron or the nearby town of Sair.

Locals told Ma’an that the IDF closed the entrance of the al-Fuwwar refugee camp as well as the road between the refugee camp and Dura. Villages west of Dura were also sealed, and Israeli forces closed the entrances of al-Karma, Arab al-Ramadin, al-Samu, al-Sura, al-Majd, Beit Awwa and al-Thahriya villages with mounds of dirt. Homes and institutions were raided by IDF forces who confiscated footage from surveillance cameras in the southern Hebron areas of Yatta, al-Samu, al-Simia, al-Thahriya, Dura and Beit Awwa. Israeli forces also raided the Dura court house, smashing locked doors inside the compound.
