By The Land of Israel

February 14, 2017, 6 AM ET

Following last week's court-ordered demolition of the 40-family community of Amona, Josh Hasten argues that Israel's High Court of Justice needs an overhaul. He feels that the Amona demolition could have been prevented and the upcoming demolition of nine homes in Ofra could be shelved if the judges on the court would stop expressing personal biases in their rulings. Hasten says that Israel needs to change the way the justices are selected, and he hopes that the current Israeli government can implement those changes.
