Joe Biden's Daughter Marries Pennsylvania Jewish Doctor

Vice President Joe Biden's 30-year-old daughter Ashley on Saturday married Dr. Howard David Krein of Pennsylvania at a ceremony in Delaware, according to a late Saturday news release from the vice president's office.

Ashley is a social worker for the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families. David is a New Jersey native and a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia,.

The News-Journal of Wilmington reported that the couple exchanged vows at the St. Joseph on the Brandywine church, where Ashley was baptized. It was a joint Jewish-Catholic ceremony, followed by a reception at the Biden residence in Greenville.

Jill Biden said that Krein spends two weeks a year in Belize performing reconstructive surgery on children with facial deformities.

"Howard is the perfect guy," Jill Biden said. "He's perfect for Ashley."
