Man Survives Self-Immolation in Israel

A 30-year-old man is listed in serious condition after setting himself afire at the Savion Junction in central Israel on Tuesday.

Paramedics from the Magen David Adom emergency medical response service treated the demonstrator at the scene before rushing him to Sheba Hospital at Tel HaShomer Medical Center in Tel Aviv. He was conscious at the time.

Medics told reporters the man suffered second and third-degree burns over much of his body. The motive for his action is not yet known.
