The Palestinian Authority is facing increased violence against the government of  PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas, and its security forced rounded up approximately 100 people in Jenin and nearby cities and villages in an  effort to squash chaos, the Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency reported.

Among those arrested were teens between the ages of 13 and 14, some of whom were said to have admitted shooting at Palestinian Authority buildings.

Jenin Governor Talal Dweikat maintained that there are no organized groups involved in riots but  added that Hams and Islamic Jihad terrorists are inciting violence, according to Ma'an.

The PA has blamed Israel for the recent riots, which it said were a reaction to an IDF counter-terrorist raid in Jenin last month in which one men was killed while attacking the soldiers.
