PM Netanyahu Lights Eighth Hanukkah Night at Western Wall Plaza

Lighting the national menorah for the last night of Hanukkah at the Western Wall Plaza in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated: "In recent days, I have heard that the Palestinians are saying that the Western Wall is occupied territory. I want to tell them from the closet possible place to the miracle of the jar of oil: The Western Wall has been ours for 3,000 years, and it and the State of Israel will be ours forever."

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Rabbi of the Western Wall and the Holy Sites of Israel Shmuel Rabinovitch.

The annual lighting ceremony attracts thousands of Israelis from across the country, and includes festive music and dancing.
