Responding to Rocket Fire, IAF Targets Gaza Terror Sites

Overnight, IAF aircraft targeted a weapons manufacturing facility in the southern Gaza Strip and a terror activity site in the central Gaza Strip. Direct hits were identified.

The sites were targeted in response to rocket fire against southern Israel. During 2012 more than 275 rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip.

The IDF Spokesperson stated that the IDF will continue to operate against anyone who uses terror against the residents of the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
