Shakira Not Coming to Israel This Summer

Shakira is not coming to Israel, as reported earlier in the month by Israel's Channel 20.

The initial report said Shakira would be performing in Tel Aviv on July 9th.

Shakira's entertainment company Live Nation tweeted that she won't be performing in Israel this summmer, but she hopes to appear her in the future. Shakira last visited Israel in 2011.

The media has incorrectly reported that Shakira will be performing in Tel Aviv this summer. While no dates this summer will work, Shakira and Live Nation hope to bring a show to her fans in Israel in the future.

The Tower points out that BDS is already claiming it as victory, even thought the mixup was caused by Israel's Channel 20, who jumped the gun and reported the deal was signed before it actually was.
