Chief Sephardi Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef will be trading places with Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi David Lau on Sunday.
Rabbi Yosef will become the president of the rabbinical council for the next 5 years, and Rabbi Lau will become the president of the rabbinical court.
In Israel, there are two chief rabbis, one Ashkenaz, and one Sephardic, who each serve for a 10-year term.
