The first heavy rains of the fall-winter season are expected to fall Sunday and continue intermittently through Wednesday.

Flash flood warnings have been posted for the eastern and southern regions.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday, although temperatures will remain high. On Monday, colder weather will accompany more showers and thunderstorms, and occasional rain is expected as far south as the northern Negev on Tuesday and Wednesday.

By Thursday, the storm system will get in its last licks with a bit of light rain until late morning or early afternoon.
