Word Prompt – KING – Lenny Solomon

Who is the real king?

Elvis Presley, who was the self-proclaimed King of Rock, thought he was the king. Michael Jackson, who was the self-proclaimed King of Pop, thought he was the king. I am the self-proclaimed King of Shlock. But I know that I am not the king, nor were Elvis and Michael Jackson.

There is only one King in this world. Hashem is the King. He was, He is, and He will always be. So, people can walk around saying that they are the king of this or the king of that. But this is just idle talk. On Rosh Hashanah we crown Hashem as King! That is the whole meaning of Rosh Hashanah. Hashem decides what your parnassah will be and whether your year will be smooth or bumpy. How will your health be. Will it be great or a little difficult? Don’t take anything for granted. Daven for everything.
