2 Terrorists Killed in Hebron after Stabbing Attempt

Two terrorists armed with knives were killed Tuesday night after a stabbing attempt in Hebron. The shots came from IDF soldiers in the neighborhood. One soldier sustained a light head injurry, no Jewish resident was hurt.

Beit HaShalom (Hebrew: House of Peace), also known as Beit HaMeriva (House of Contention), is a four story apartment building located in the H-2 Area of Hebron, under Israeli control. Originally built by two Arab businessmen, the building was subsequently purchased and inhabited by local Jewish residents in 2007. In December 2008, the residents were evacuated by the IDF under a Supreme Court order, after Arab claimants alleged that the building had been purchased unlawfully with the help of an Arab front man, and forged documents. In September 2012, the Jerusalem District Court ruled that the purchase by the Jewish residents was valid, and that the house must be returned to the purchasers. In March 2014, the Supreme Court upheld the ruling, and the Defense Minister finally allowed the Jewish residents to return home.
