Commendations for Kiryat Arba CTU

On June 30, 2016, a terrorist snuck into the town of Kiryat Arba and murdered 13-year-old Hallel Yafa Ariel while she was asleep in her bed.

The Kiryat Arba rapid response counter-terrorist unit (Kitat Koninut) ran to the scene and killed the terrorist before he could kill any more innocent victims.

But Shuki Gilboa, one of the Kitat Koninut members, was seriously wounded in the attack and lost an eye.

On Sunday, the IDF awarded commendations to two members of the team, Rabbi Chanoch Kahane and Yehoshua "Shuki" Gilboa who were the first to rush into the house and neutralize the terrorist.
