When President Donald Trump and other medical professionals touted the decades-old antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine as a possible means of fighting the coronavirus pandemic, the Israeli generic drug giant Teva (the most popular big pharma stock on Wall Street) immediately announced that it will provide 10 million doses of its hydroxychloroquine drug to US hospitals free of charge. Rep. Rashida Tlaib and her fellow American detractors of Israel who claim that Israel does nothing but take from the US owe Israel an apology.
A clause was included in a Parliamentary bill, allowing for families of the deceased to oppose cremation out of religious reasons.
When the rules were first announced, many people felt that PM Netanyahu and his advisors in the Health Ministry were overreacting, but as the number of cases grows, most Israelis have come around to the idea that tough measures are needed.

Fate has sent Israel a rare set of circumstances that is unlikely to come our way again. The “deal of the century” really is a once-in-a-century opportunity, and Israel must seize it.
The Trump plan focuses entirely on behavior. It rejects the notion of a Palestinian state as a matter of right, entitlement, or justice. It says that if the Arabs living under Israeli control change course, accept the largesse they’ve been offered, focus on their own internal development, and make peace with Israel, they will have earned self-governance.
Minister Bezalel Smotrich sees an historic opportunity in the Deal of the Century, but (only) the good parts of the plan must be grabbed and implemented.
The Jordan Valley, in its full scope and broadest definition, is essential to Israel’s national security. Its retention by Israel requires not only military deployment but a comprehensive development plan—i.e., the construction of housing, roads, and infrastructure—that will establish this territory as Israel’s eastern wing.
