An Israeli "Skylark" drone crashed in Lebanon on Monday. The report initially originated from Lebanese news agencies. A Hezbollah affiliated TV station published images of the drone.

The IDF later confirmed the incident, and added that there is no risk of an intel breach from the crash. The IDF is investigating why the drone went down.

The drone crashed in the Aita al-Shaab in the souther Bint Jbeil district.

It's the fourth time this year that a Skylark crashed in enemy territory. There was a crash in Syria in March, another in Gaza in March, and in Lebanon, in January.

The Skylark is a very portable small drone. It's very popular in the IDF due to its ease of use and capabilities. It can be easily embedded with ground units.

The Skylark provides a live eyes-in-the-sky video feed to troops on the ground for tactical surveillance. It can be launched by just one or two soldiers.
