The Chelsea soccer club will issue a life ban to any supporter found guilty of anti-Semitic against its Israeli player Yossi Benayoun, the London Evening Standard reported.

Benayoun complained on his twitter account on Monday about being booed when he came on as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

He said there were “some other issues the club are taking care (of)” and revealed “sometimes people are crossing the limit.”

It is believed the player was referring to receiving anti-Semitic abuse from Chelsea supporters, which apparently has been a problem in games.

Chelsea are talking with Benayoun about the nature of what he has heard and will look to identify anyone guilty of making offensive comments.

The club have a strict policy on such matters and will ban any supporter from Stamford Bridge for life if they are found to have used antisemitic language.
