Recently, a local meeting of the Labour Party was held in London. People who wanted to attend the meeting were refused entry if they had 'Jewish sounding' names. Even if they showed their tickets, and even if they were journalists wanting to report on the event, they were turned away and refused entry if suspected to be Jews. One Jewish man protesting outside the building who was wearing an Israeli flag draped around him was attacked by a man that tried to set it on fire while the man was still wearing the flag. It brings back gruesome memories when again, Anti-Semites in Europe are trying to set Jews on fire, What is the situation, and the future of Jews in the UK?

To find out the answers to this questions, Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon of Israel News Talk Radio – Beyond the Matrix interviewed noted Washington, DC defense technology expert, award-winning Reagan era former Defense official, and Asia Times columnist Dr. Stephen Bryen. Bryant and Gordon are, respectively, former US Army air defense and military intelligence specialists. Bryen discusses the circumstances behind Russia’s blaming Israel for Syria’s downing of a Russian Ilyushin reconnaissance plane and crew. He notes the technology of the problematic Russian transfers of S-300 systems to the Syrian Arab forces. Transfers that may still permit Israel to carry out missions against Iranian targets in Syria under existing or modified deconfliction arrangements between Russia and Israel. Bryen questions the accuracy of Iranian ballistic missiles used against Kurdish targets in Iraq and Syria, calling them essentially “terror” weapons. He notes why Iran is behind the dangers to Israel and US assets of deliveries of precision rockets and missiles to proxies, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza and the Houthi rebels in Yemen. Further, Bryen points out the threats to both US Navy operations an Israeli security from proposed Chinese management of ports in the Jewish nation.

Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon interview Dan Diker, former Secretary General of the World Jewish Congress, and now Director of the Program to Counter Political Warfare at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. Diker is the editor of the Defeating Denormalization—Shared Palestinian and Israeli Perspectives on a New Path to Peace. The English translation of the Hebrew version underlined what the ‘experiment’ revealed in JCPA seminars—The Israeli Palestinian Path to Economic Prosperity. It was about normalization of relations between Arabs and Israelis using what Diker called a “bottom up” approach. The prospect of realizing the potential of this ‘experiment appears to be in jeopardy given murderous attacks in late September and early October 2018. On September 16, 2018 there was the murder of 45 year old American – Israeli Ari Fuld in Gush Etzion, by a 16 year old Palestinian youth. On October 7, 2018, a 23 year old Palestinian electrician and employee at a firm located in The Barkan Industrial Park in Samaria killed 29 year old secretary Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel and 32 year old firm executive Ziv Hajbi, leaving grieving families. Israeli general security and the IDF launched an immediate manhunt for the Palestinian suspect from a village near Tulkarm. These murderous Palestinian attacks came shortly following the 25th Anniversary of the failed Oslo Peace Accords signed on September 13, 1993. The Barkan Industrial Park is one of 16 industrial parks established by former Jewish Agency head Anatoly Sharansky employing more than 30,000 Israeli and Palestinians. They have boosted income and level of living standards spawning both Israeli and Palestinian entrepreneurship. Diker shared his views that the culture of terrorism, hatred and incentives for these murderous attacks may have prompted recent Trump Administration legislative and executive actions to deny Palestinian Authority funding under the Taylor Force Act. Further actions included closure of the Washington, DC office of the PLO and curtailment of US funding for the UNWRA refugee program. Yet, he cites JCPA fellow, and New York hedge fund executive Sander Gerber saying that the Trump Administration has yet to articulate its rationale. Nevertheless, Diker suggests that these horrific attacks will not stymie the growth of the peace through prosperity model of the Industrial Parks leading to a possible federation of the Palestinian areas in the disputed territories with security provided by Israel and Jordan. Diker says this is recognition of the evident failure of the corrupt Palestinian Authority incentivizing terrorism. This has prompted US National Security Adviser Ambassador John Bolton to say that the PA does not meet the international legal definitions of a state.

Two weeks after his death and still thousands of social media posts all over the web are revealing more more details about the amazing life of Ari Fuld.

“It can be done” the rescue of Jews from Nazi Occupied Europe during the holocaust, Listen to Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon interview returning guest Dr. Rafael S. Medoff, director of the David S. Wyman Institute on Holocaust discuss the 75th Anniversary of the rescue of 7,000 Danish Jews in October 1943 that demonstrate the infamy of the US British Bermuda Conference in April of that year convened but failed come up with options to rescue Jews because it would divert resources from the war effort defeating the Nazis. The Danish rescue of Jews to sanctuary in Sweden proved FDR and Churchill wrong. “It can be done” was the message of a monster rally at Carnegie Hall on October 31, 1943 organized by the group of five intrepid Palestinian Revisionist Zionist Jews, the Bergson Boys, supported by major figures from the entertainment world like Orson Welles. The Bergson Boys, journalists and members of Congress were pushing the FDR Administration to set up a refugee organization to rescue Jews during the Holocaust. Fake statistics provided by anti-Semitic State Department official at a House Foreign Relations revealed by reporters and the Bergson Boys ultimately led to the formation of the War Refugee Board. The WRB, despite little support from both the State and War Department and with limited resources were ultimately able to save an estimated 200,000 Jews during the holocaust. Medoff criticizes the current US Holocaust Memorial Museum for white washing FDR’s administration barring for bombing the death camps and railways when it was clear in 1944 that the US and British Air forces were doing that daily. He noted 12,000 Jews killed at Auschwitz-Birkenau daily arguing that bombing would have spared thousands more.

On September 16th, Ari Fuld was murdered by a terrorist in Gush Etzion. Ari was a champion for the Jewish People and for truth, and an outspoken advocate for the Jewish State. His death is mourned by his family as well as countless friends around the world. We at Israel On My Mind did not feel that it was appropriate to produce our typical show this week given the events of this week, but rather wanted to publish an interview between Ari and Jono recorded in January. We feel that publishing this show, at this time, will give honor to the memory of Ari as in it, he relates some of what he did so well on behalf of his beloved country. We trust that our listeners will appreciate our decision in this.

Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon bring back Rabbi Jonathan Hausman ,co-founder of “Save the Persecuted Christians” to discuss the relevance of the rabbinic teaching “pray as if all depends upon Ha Shem, but act as all depends upon you. That prayer must lead to action in partnership with Ha Shem”. He cites his grandfather’s warning based on his amazing journey from oppression in Czarist Ukraine to the Golden Medeiner of America as a precept his activism as a teen in the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry. That started in a basement in a shul in Cleveland with seven people that led eight years later to US legislation that forced Soviet Russia to enable the massive aliyah to Israel and the West. Rabbi Hausman conveyed this message in a recent address to a gathering of concerned Christians and evangelicals in Denver. He also explained why the Churches, clergy and the media have not condemned and acted to support the estimated 600 million Christians world-wide facing oppression and life-threatening extinction, especially in the Middle East and totalitarian countries.
