Rod Reuven Dovid Bryant and Jerry Gordon bring back Dan Diker, Director of the Countering Political Warfare Project at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs to address potentially significant developments in relations between Israel and Arab neighbors in the Middle East and predominately Muslim nations in the strategic Sahel Region of Central Africa.

Diker updated on normalization initiatives involving Palestinian Arab and Israeli economic enterprises in more than 16 Industrial Parks in the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria employing more than 30,000 and providing incomes for employees three times the average earnings of Palestinian workers. The objective of normalization in this context is demonstrating that peace can be achieved through prosperity with the ultimate objective of a federated Palestinian entity. He noted that perhaps one of the most enthusiastic supporters of this concept is Minister of Strategic Affairs, Gilad Erdan who has brought foreign diplomats to view the success of normalization between Palestinians and Israelis in the industrial parks.

Diker said that Netanyahu had expanded normalization to reflect outreach to Emirates in the Gulf Cooperation Council, especially Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Oman. A visit to Oman resulted in recognition of Israel s a Jewish State. With the visit to Jerusalem of Chad President Idriss Deby Itno, Diker noted this was an important extension of diplomatic, economic and development relations with a Central African Country of strategic importance given the intrusion of Russia, China, Turkey and Qatar to exploit the region’s mineral resources and to establish bases of operation. Jerry Gordon noted that Chad’s neighbor Sudan with its Muslim Brotherhood regime headed by ICC indicted President Bashir had offered Red Sea bases to Russia and Turkey, while pursuing genocide against indigenous African people in Darfur, South Kordofan, Blue Nile state recruiting a jihadist terrorist army from the Sahel region and Middle East. Gordon cited a colleague former Chadian Lt. Gen. Abakar Mahamat Abdullah, a native of Darfur and Chairman of the Sudan United Movement who had built the successful Chad based Pan-Sahel Initiative combating terrorism. Abdallah’s force was trained by US Marines and Special Forces. He is a graduate of the US Army War College and the US Army Intelligence School.

When asked about the long-waited Trump “deal of the century’’ the Middle East Peace Plan. Diker indicated that now it is delayed given recent events in the Middle East. The recent Gaza incident that led to the resignation of former Defense Minister Liberman caused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s coalition to shrink to less than 61 mandates. Many Israelis call Netanyahu,” the magician”, because of his ability to survive political. Diker suggested that Netanyahu might opt for a general election in the late spring in 2019. Diker spoke of a recent closed JCPA conference that brought together Kurds, secular Arabs from Syria and Iraq to meet with Israelis to discuss an ‘old new” idea of federated states that may eventually replace. the map of the Middle East that created artificial boundaries that reflected the British and French imperial interests as victors of WWI. He addressed a new book he authored exposing he political warfare against Israel and Jewish students waged by Students for Justice in Palestine with 250 chapters on US university campuses.

The headline for this program came from an outcry at a gathering requested by Jewish high school students of school, and Jewish community defense groups in Woodbridge, Connecticut about virulent anti-Semitism from fellow non-Jewish students. Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon of Israel News Talk Radio- Beyond the Matrix bring back Dr. Phyllis Chesler, noted American politically incorrect feminist, author and activist. We delve into the question of why virulent anti-Semitism has spiked following the massacre of Jewish worshippers at the Etz Hayim synagogue in Pittsburgh a month ago. Chesler noted the transition from anti-Semitic vandalism on synagogues, Jewish schools and cemeteries to wanton violence and mass murders. It seems as she said that American Jews are sleep walking thinking that violence against Jews in Israel and Europe couldn’t happen here. However, with Pittsburgh it has shaken Jewish confidence that what happened there has occurred here. We discuss why anti-Zionism – the New Anti-Semitism has been rooted in the politically correct accommodation of Islamic Jew hatred on many elite college campuses. It is promoted by groups like Students for Justice for Palestine and the BDS efforts of allied leftist groups intimidating Jewish students and tolerated by Administrations who do not wish to offend Arab financial contributors. Exemplary of that was the demise of the well-respected Institute for the Study of global Anti-Semitism by Dr. Charles Small at Yale University because of unwillingness of faculty to address Muslim Antisemitism. We addressed the tolerance of Antisemitic leaders of the Women’s March, especially that of Linda Sarsour, a Palestinian American organizer who espouses blood libels against Israel and American supporters because of ‘dual loyalties’ and had been a supporter virulent racist Anti-Semitic views of Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam. Chesler views as problematic the recent reasoned decision of a US Federal Appellate Court Judge declaring unconstitutional a 25-year-old Federal ban against the practice of Female Genital Mutilation, despite the existence of 27 state laws offering various degrees of criminalization of the predatory practice. It awaits possible filing for the Supreme Court or Congressional actions correcting the defects in the federal legislation. We raised the issue of the case of the Pakistani Christian woman Asia Bibi jailed for 8 years under the country’s Islamic Blasphemy Laws and released by Supreme Court ruling to an uncertain fate. Chesler that not one Western country, including the UK, Canada, France and the US has not offered sanctuary to Bibi and her family. Then she referred to the recent European Court of Human Rights ruling virtually enforcing Islamic blasphemy codes. The court denied an appeal of a 2011 case in Austria fining Austrian human rights advocate Elisabeth Sabaditsch - Wolff about the Prophet Mohammed pedophilia – the marriage of Aisha at age 6, consummated at age 9. Chesler drew attention to how the Jews were driven by violence from Arab lands 70 years ago with the establishment of the State of Israel. Meanwhile as she pointed out Christians like the Copts in Egypt and other countries in the Middle East face the daily threats of violence like the Jews of rape, murder and flight to their respective Diasporas. When asked about what to do about the re-emergence of deadly Antisemitism that occurred in Pittsburgh and elsewhere in this country, Chesler said Jews should stop sleepwalking, applaud the courage of Jewish high school students in Connecticut who cried out to oppose Antisemitism in all its forms.

Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon of Israel News Talk Radio -Beyond the Matrix bring back Dr. Rafael Medoff, director of the David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies to discuss the Nazi pogrom against Germany’s Jews- on its 80th anniversary, FDR’s and American Jewish leaders responses and the implications for policymakers facing existential threats today like Iran’s nuclear and genocidal threats to wipe the Jewish nation of Israel off the map of the world.

November 9-10, 2018 marked the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the “night of broken glass” in 1938 when Hitler perpetrated a nation-wide pogrom in response to the assassination of a German diplomat Ernst Von Rath at the Paris Embassy by a 17-year-old Polish Jew Herschel Grynspan. The Nazi SA and Hitler youth rampaged through Germany and Austria 7,500 Jewish homes and businesses were ransacked, 267 synagogues were attacked, 76 were destroyed, nearly 100 Jews were killed. Most significantly 30,000 Jewish men were sent to Nazi concentration camps at Dachau, Buchenwald and Sachsenhausen. German Jews were fined over $400 million for the cleanup of the Nazi pogrom. It marked the end for Jews in Germany. Many consider it as the precursor for Hitler’s Final Solution, the murder of six million European Jewish men, women and children in unspeakable ways.

Gordon spoke of encounter with the parents of his freshman roommate at Boston University the father of whom was one those incarcerated at a Nazi concentration camp and released after his wife bribed the Nazi camp commandant.

Medoff drew attention to the “whitewashing’ of FDR in the controversial US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC in his responses to Kristallnacht at press conferences a few days after the Nazi pogrom not challenging the Hitler regime, not even identifying the victims- Jews. This contrasted with headlines in US and foreign newspapers drawing attention to the Nazi existential threats to Germany’s Jews. FDR’s State Department even ruled against offers by the Governor of the US Virgin Islands to take in German Jewish refugees. Medoff pointed out the little-known offer of the Dominican Republic, made earlier than Kristallnacht in 1938, to take in over 100,000 German Jews- in the end they took in less than 1,000 in the settlement of Sosua. The FDR Administration were concerned that these German Jewish refugees would ultimately infiltrate the US! That was reflected less than six months later in June 1939 when the 930 German Jews aboard the fateful ship the St. Louis were barred entry by the State Department, many of whom went to their deaths in Nazi killing centers. Medoff noted FDR didn’t want strong action against Hitler’s Germany for fear of triggering a war and impacting trade during the economic Depression. Hollywood’s Jewish moguls didn’t want to lose export markets in German for film productions. Many Jewish leaders remain silent for fear of anti-Semitism, while a few demonstrated against the Hitler Nazi regime. Medoff noted that in contrast the British took in 10,000 Jewish children in the so-called Kinder transports and 15,000 young Jewish women as nannies and maids.

Medoff when asked about the implications of the Kristallnacht episode said that if FDR and other western leaders had adopted economic sanctions, much like those currently used against a Nuclear Iran, perhaps the Nazi pogrom might have been stopped. Looking at the debacle in the current Syrian civil war, Medoff speculated that if the US coalition had attacked Assad it might have prevented the massive refugee flight to the West and the US.

100 years ago today, the GREAT WAR (AKA WWI ) ended.

It was a war that changed the map of the world. It drew up lines here, in the middle east, by Britain and France, where they divvied up the territory amongst themselves (taking the spoils) that we are still suffering from today. - something to think about!

It was Kristallnight (Kristallnacht), - when all Jewish Synagogues in Germany, Austria and the already Nazi occupied western part of Czechoslovakia were torched, the holy artifacts stolen or destroyed, thousands of Jewish businesses smashed up and 30,000 Jewish men taken to Concentration Camps.

That was the beginning of the end. What followed was the Holocaust. (although I believe that the Holocaust started when Hitler came to power)

Walter describes in vivid detail what he experienced.

That is followed by a historic sound file from the first Shabbat service in the Bergen-Belsen Concentration camp after the liberation and an interview with the Rabbi who conducted it and spent 2 months there.

Now hear the most harrowing report of conditions in that camp, as described by a British Senior doctor during his visit just after liberation.

To learn how it was made possible to transport millions to these factories of death, Walter talks to an expert on the history of the German Railways during the Holocaust.

Listen to warnings about dangerously inadequate US synagogue and Jewish community facilities security by American and Israel security experts, Dr. Stephen Bryen and Razi Atuar in this Israel News Talk Radio-Beyond the Matrix by Rod Reuven Dovid Bryant and Jerry Gordon. They cite the lack of situational awareness training, CCTV software and lockdown procedures. Dr. Bryen presented startling information that the Squirrel Hill area in Pittsburgh had more than 50 Anti-Semitic incidents in the run up to the Shabbat massacre that took the lives of 11 Jews ranging in age from 54 to 97, the latter a holocaust survivor. The apprehended killer, Robert Bowers, Bryen noted was not barred from entry and killed Jewish victims, including those who hid in closets. Bryen co-authored a 2017 jns.org article with Andrew Postulou, “American Jews need to make security central to communal work. “The article discussed the unarmed British community Shomrim- “watchers” program as a model for the American Jewish community. The Shomrim worked in cooperation with London’s Metropolitan Police to foil attacks on synagogues, schools and community programs. He underlined the importance of deterrence with armed guards and where feasible police patrols. Bryen noted that funds for developing synagogue security programs are currently available from FEMA USDHS for nonprofit security. Dr Stephen Bryen has more than 40 years of experience in Congressional and government service. During the Reagan Administration he was the U.S. deputy undersecretary of defense for trade security policy and the founding director of the Defense Technology Security Administration, defense technology CEO, NGO leader, whose articles appear in American Thinker, Jewish Policy Center inSight and the Asia Times. His latest book is "Technology Security and National Power: Winners and Losers" (Transaction Publishers)

Razi Atuar, CEO of a startup technology company, Zotagroup outlined his experience as a former Lt. commander of an IDF special operations brigade, Israel Secret Service and diplomatic security specialist. He emphasized the importance of situational awareness training, physical measures to bar entry of intruders and allow for entry of authorized persons and the latest generation of CCTV cameras and software that can alert both synagogue monitors and local police and the location of congregants with cell phones during lockdown. Like Bryen he indicated that trained armed private guards and police represent the best deterrent.
