Even earlier, as far back as February 2003, Sharon warned visiting U.S. Congress members after the destruction of Iraq's nuclear reactor that Iran, Syria and Libya should be stripped of all weapons of mass destruction.

“These are irresponsible states which must be disarmed of weapons of mass destruction and a successful American move in Iraq as a model will make that easier to achieve,” he said. “American action is of vital importance.”
