Settlers Do More Than Their Share

The IDF just released a report on reserve duty in the IDF on Thursday, the day the IDF is marking ‘Reservist Appreciation Day’.

The new report shows that Settlers in Judea and Samaria have a higher reserve duty participation rate than the rest of the country.

Settlers have a participation rate of 35% compared to an average 28% for the rest of the country.

In other interesting data, 19% of reservists were born abroad. 72% of reserve soldiers have college educations. Half of those serving are married. The average age for a commander is 31.

The percent of women serving has risen from 8% in 2008 to 14%.

Only 5% of available reservists are actually called up to serve, but when called up - 80% show up.
