Photos from an olive grove in the Golan Heights where the harvest is done mechanically.

The trunk shakers commonly used in mechanical harvesting to detach olives, ensuring the best net return to growers.

The groves are trimmed in the shape of a "hedge" in order to allow the machine to pass without damaging the trees.

Modern vineyard work allows harvest of dozens of acres a day using a very limited manpower (2-4 people) and thus speed up the process of harvest and olive oil.
