Mention the word CHURCH to a Jew, and he or she might get a shot of paranoia throught their veins. Being burnt at the stake by the CHURCH, via the Inquisition, the many pogroms throughout history, and Crusifixes, all remind Jews of the church’s history of anti-semtism and replacement theology. It’s no wonder why Jews might cringe a bit when they hear the word ‘Church’.
Today, many Christians have re-read their bibles, and have studied the historical roots of their religion, and have changed their outlook on Jews and Israel, with some very much supporting the state of Israel today. But sadly, there are still some churches that are very anti-Semitic, and Tamar's guest discusses some of this on the show. Meet Dexter Van Zile, from C.A.M.E.R.A. - the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America. He comes on the show to talk about The World Council of Churches- their agenda regarding Israel, ……..and then generally, the theological root to all of the christian anti-zionism and anti-Semitism that we are seeing today.
