View the Johansson-SodaStream Ad Fox Won’t Let You See Super Sunday

What sin did the ad experts commit this year that prompted Fox News to can SodaStream’s scheduled commercial to be aired on Fox News during the Super Bowl Sunday?

Last year, CBS canned the commercial that showed thousands of Pepsi and Coke bottles bursting. The ad mocked the soda companies for hurting the environment while SodaStream customers can make their own soda drinks at home.

This year, the planned commercial did not show any disparaging pictures of those environmentally unfriendly bottles.

Instead, it stars Scarlett Johansson, SodaStream’s new ambassador to promote its machines.

The half-minute commercial was fine, until Johansson uttered the four naughty words, “Sorry, Coke and Pepsi.”

"No way," cried Fox. How dare upstart SodaStream make fun of the manufacturers of two of America’s favorite unhealthy drinks.

SodaStream’s ad agency came up with another version of the commercial, without those four awful words.
