Beached

A dead sperm whale washed up dead on a Tel Aviv beach on Friday. It appeared to be a young female whale, around 10 meters long, in an advanced state of decomposition.

Sperm whales are an endangered species. It's estimated there may be only a few hundred of them left in the Mediterranean Sea.
