With Assad now in control of the Syrian border with Israel on the Golan Heights, there's no more need for an Israeli field clinic to treat wounded Syrian civilians.

The IDF released a video showing some of the Mazor Ladach's operations over the past year, the medical clinic packing up, and the doctors and staff coming home to Israel.

The clinic was operated as a day clinic in the framework of the activities of the "Good Neighbors" administration and in cooperation with an American humanitarian organization.

The clinic provided medical treatment for some 6,800 Syrians.

Since the outbreak of fighting in Syria, there has been a serious shortage of medical infrastructure, doctors and medicines on the Syrian side of the border.

Faced with this shortage, the IDF acted to provide life-saving humanitarian assistance alongside a policy of non-intervention in internal fighting in Syria as part of the "good neighborliness" administration.
