Rod Reuven Dovid Bryant and Jerry Gordon bring back Dr. Stephen Bryen, former Reagan era Defense official, premier Washington -based military technology expert and Asia Times columnist. The discussion focused on the technology behind Israeli successes in the recent Shadow War episodes in late August 2019 against Iran’s Quds Force and proxies Hezbollah and Shi’ite Popular Mobilization Forces in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. We also delved into the Russian disastrous test of a nuclear reactor powered missile in the arctic region, race to develop hypersonic missiles and the lack of anti- effective missile defense by the US. Bryen explained Israel’s adroit use of Chinese-made quadracopter drones in the attacks in Beirut on the weekend of August 22-23rd, 2019. Those attacks destroyed the principal specialized machine for mixing solid fuel propellant for precision ballistic missiles. The destruction of that device may have set back Iran’s plan to help Hezbollah manufacture precision missiles by at least a year. Bryen noted that heretofore Israel had engaged in attacks on weapons warehouses in Damascus and other locations in Syria for transshipment of complete missiles to Hezbollah. Instead Iran adopted a covert program to establish manufacturing facilities in both Syria and Lebanon, making it harder for Israel to target such facilities. The Beirut attack on the rocket propellant factory, using the Chinese quadracopter drones, he speculated, was possibly launched from small boats positioned in Beirut harbor, providing plausible deniability to Israel. He noted that China has one company that manufactures 70 percent of the world supply of these small quadracopter drones that have supplied resurgent ISIS and other jihadi groups in the Middle East. The attack on the so-called “IRGC killer drones” in Syria that same weekend took place at a resort golf course south of Damascus was facilitated by Israeli intelligence. Among the five casualties were a senior Quds Force commander of its drone arm and two Hezbollah ‘pilots’. Bryen said that was illustrative of the comments of former Israeli Military Intelligence chief, Maj. Gen. (ret.) Amos Yadlin, who said in response to these Israeli raids “that he would want to be an Iranian commander”. The attack that weekend in Iraq may have been the carried out by Israel’s F-35 Adir squadron using so-called SPICE weapons- essentially guided bombs that provided a stand-off capability of 62 miles. Bryen noted that no Iraqi aircraft were launched, possibly indicative that Israel used its F-35s in the raid. He said that Israel will not tolerate Iran positioning ballistic missiles in Iraqi warehouses controlled by its proxy Shi’ite Popular Mobilization Forces capable of hitting the Jewish nation. The spectacular failure of Hezbollah retaliatory featuring launch from Lebanon of Russian-made Kornet anti-tank missiles against IDF targets in Israel’s north the final weekend of August was apparently anticipated by IDF Northern Command and did not incur casualties. It was the use of Kornet anti-tank missiles during the second Lebanon War in 2006 that spurred Israel’s development of the Trophy anti-tank defense system for tanks and armored vehicles that sparked US army interest in procurement. We discussed recent Israeli announcement of its intent to purchase a squadron of US VS-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft for use in special ops missions. The aircraft are flying long stage distances in its plane mode capable of landing 20 commandos in its rotary mode. Israel was denied purchase of the versatile special ops aircraft in 2012 by the Pentagon for fear that they might be used for attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The Ospreys have high maintenance requirements because of their tilt-rotor capabilities. One of Israel’s versatile anti-tank missiles is the SPIKE which is undergoing test by the US Army for its fleet of AH-6 Apache attack helicopters. Its versatility stems from its ability to change targets in mid- flight and its longer range compared to the US Hellfire missile. According to Bryen it is popular with many western NATO militaries. Bryen had recently written about the race to develop Hypersonic missiles by the US, Russia and China. He discussed the recent explosion in Russia’s arctic region of an unshielded nuclear reactor powered hypersonic cruise missile launched from a barge. The disaster had caused the deaths of five Rosatom scientists and release of radioactive materials necessitating iodine tablet treatment for population in the impacted area. Bryen noted Russia’s previous atomic program disasters in the 1950’s, the 1980’s at Chernobyl and this recent episode. The nuclear reactor as a power unit for hypersonic missiles would raise heat to 3,000 degrees and allegedly the highly radioactive exhaust gases released might be capable of hypersonic speeds in the atmosphere greater than 5 x of the speed of sound. The US Bryen said had successfully ground tested a nuclear-powered ramjet version in the 1960’s. He noted that the Russian Navy announced its intent to deploy non-nuclear hypersonic missiles with a range of 600 miles. Bryen contended that US has no defense against hypersonic missiles, whether the Ground-based Mid-Course Interceptors or the THAAD system.

Lies, Lies and More Lies! Israel was Setup by Terrorist Congresswomen!

Rod Bryant and Jerry Gordon interviewed Ben Weinthal, Jerusalem Post’s European correspondent and Research Fellow of Washington, DC-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies on what lies behind Germany’s tilt towards Iran. Weinthal suggests that it is the comments of Henryk M. Broder, Polish-born son of Holocaust survivors, Die Welt journalist and best-selling author. It is “the completion of Hitler’s Plan – destruction of Israel’s Six million Jews’; whether consciously or sub-consciously. That is reflected in German surveys where 40 % of respondents site “negative, loathsome” views that “despise Israel as not being legitimate” – the New Antisemitism. Weinthal considers that findings “significantly understated”.
This despite Chancellor Merkel’s 2008 Knesset speech that Israel’s
security was ‘not negotiable’. The reality is that Merkel’s Foreign Ministry, led by Heiko Maas, a Social Democrat in her cabinet, has “courted Iran”. That is evident in Germany’s creation of a funding facility to assist Iran in evading US sanctions and the failure to list Iran’s proxy Hezbollah as a terrorist group. In contrast which the UK, Canada and the US have done so. Weinthal suggests it is reflective of Merkel’s “uber appeasement of the Islamic Republic”. Witness, US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell blasting German Foreign Ministry representatives attending a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in February 2019.
The leader of the US effort to combat Germany’s romance with the Islamic Republic is US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, who has threatened to sanction German companies engaged in trade with Iran. Weinthal noted that Germany’s trade with Iran dropped 50% in the first six months of 2019. Not doubt occasioned by the US sanctions. One result of Weinthal’s investigation into BDS banking in Germany was closure of the Neo-Nazi Third Way pro-Palestinian accounts. Warnings of Hezbollah’s infiltration have surfaced in reports of major state and federal intelligence agencies. There are 1,050 Hezbollah operatives actively engaged in recruiting and fundraising in German Mosques. The major “hot spots’ are the cities of Munster and Bremen. Weinthal drew attention to Germany’s tolerance of the Islamic Republic’s annual Al- Quds Day events in Berlin promoting destruction of the Jewish nation of Israel. He views as dangerous the potential lethal strains of anti-Semitic groups from the far left, far right and radical Islamists. The Party of the Left in the Bundestag has appeared at those Al Quds events. Merkel has not turned Iran’s Islamic Republic into a “pariah” through her failure to list Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. Another was the early release from prison, before their terms were up, of Iranian assassins of Kurdish dissidents at a Berlin restaurant in 1992.
A recent German opinion poll found that half of respondents viewed Islam as a threat. Merkel’s immigration policies brought 1 million Muslim refugees with “regressive views” some of whom committed acts of terrorism. Weinthal cited the 2016 truck attack at a Berlin Christmas Market by a Tunisian extremist that killed 12, injuring 49 including one Israeli. The rise of the anti-Islam Alternative for Germany political party may secure an electoral win in Brandenburg State. Merkel’s hold on Germany stems from her shift to the dominant center left and adoption of Social Democratic and Green Parties’ positions that espouses “radical pacifism’”.
Openly gay US Ambassador Grenell is concerned about decriminalizing the Islamic Republic’s “lethal homophobic” policy, ill treatment of women’s rights and suppression of the Christian minority. Weinthal noted that over the period from 1979 to 2008 4,000 to 6,000 members of Iran’s Gay/LGBT community were executed, according to a British Wikileaks cable.

Rod Reuven Dovid Bryant and Jerry Gordon interview Yaacov Apelbaum, founder and CTO of New York -based XRVision, Ltd, an early stage start up technology company developing adaptive AI video analytics solutions for law enforcement, security, and intelligence applications called the Sentinel AI. This is the future of visual intelligence. Among its amazing exploits were: 1. Uncovering and decompiling multi-billion-dollar military romance scams on dating sites, Facebook, and social media perpetrated by networks in the African nations of Ghana and Nigeria, all supported by payoffs to national police, local banks/money transfer companies, and NGO’s including UN personnel. 2. Identifying the family relationship and false narrative of US Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar that left questions about her family, her marriage to her brother, the family’s privileged position under the corrupt Somali Barre regime, how they were granted asylum status and entered the US as refugees while making sizable property investments in the US. The analysis conducted by the Sentinel AI might provide tangible leads in any US House Ethics Committee investigation of Ms. Omar arising from a recent complaint filing by Minnesota State Representative and Judicial Watch, a Washington, DC- based corruption watchdog organization. XRVision was established in 2016. The Company’s focus is on mobile and wearable video analytics and visual intelligence in difficult and uncontrolled environments. The system offers the dual capability of enhancing video and images in less than optimum lighting situations and reconstructing defective and low-quality images. Coupling this with the ability to classify complex video objects and conduct massive searches of image databases enables XRVision to synthesize and effectively deliver actionable information and visual intelligence. XRVision’s Sentinel AI uncovered networks of Ghanaians and Nigerians engaged in billion-dollar military romance scams. These were typically perpetrated against widowed and/or divorced middle-aged men or women who use Facebook or on-line dating sites. The scammers used stolen images of actual US military personnel serving overseas to entrap their targets. The estimates of the yield from each scammed victim, using blackmail and compromising information, range between $100K to $500K per scam. Apelbaum estimated that the scams may account for upwards of 5-15 percent of the Gross Domestic Income of African countries Ghana and Nigeria. XRVision exploited the full range of facial recognition and the adaptive AI analytics of Sentinel to ensnare the perpetrators, capture the contact and other location information of the scam perpetrators. Sentinel AI reconstructed well-organized networks of hundreds of individuals, their collaboration with government, police, banks, phone companies, ISP, NGO, and local UN personnel used to transport funds and other contraband across the border to neighboring countries. Analysis of the family narrative of US Minnesota rep. Ilhan Omar focused on the ambiguities of the family Somali names, their ‘escape’ narrative and the privileged position of the Elmi family in Somalia and its genealogy. That questioned who is this public person? The Sentinel AI analytics used Ilhan Omar’s video speeches and newspaper interviews, and social media footprint. The analysis flagged anomalies about her name and published pedigree. Sentinel AI revealed conflicting versions of the family’s escape story from Mogadishu during the overthrow of the Barre regime by rebel nationalists in 1991-1992. Ilhan Omar’s family of 20 individuals lived in a protected compound in Mogadishu and on short notice mobilized with cash, passports, visas, and flew to Kenya without apparent travel restrictions. In Kenya they lived in relative comfort in a private residence with significant funding and local political patronage. There are questions about who sponsored them for entry to the US facilitated by Lutheran World Services, why one wing of the family (two brothers and a sister) went to the UK and maintained their original family name Elmi, and why a separate contingent came to the US (Ilhan, her sister and father) and assumed the name of Omar, belonging to non-related family in Arlington Virginia. Apelbaum’s analysis suggest some material questions about Ilhan’s real name, birth date, actual number of her siblings, and the identify of their common father. The analysis also confirmed the identification of her brother Ahmed Nur Elmi in the UK to be her husband. Rod Reuven Dovid Bryant and Jerry Gordon bring back Dexter Van Zile of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) to discuss a conservative Catholic E. Michael Jones extolling Jew hatred and racism via the internet misleading young millennials. Even more dangerous is that Jones has consorted with the like of white supremacist David Duke. Jones praised Duke at the London Conference of the Neo-Nazi movement. Jones has been promoting these dangerous views since the 1980’s. The problem is that millennials are biting into Jones views in droves. Van Zile first encountered Jones and his Jew hatred views in a YouTube interview with another notorious anti-Semite, Owen Benjamin. Jones has been writing books since the 1970’s, however, his rise to prominence in podcasts, increasingly viewed by millennials, has occurred within the past decade. He blames Jews for abortion and pornography in the US. The millennials in the US have latched on to Jones who promotes their salvation by becoming Catholics and fighting Jewish influence in America. Jones has recruited white supremacists to enlist the power of the Church to defeat Jews because they reject the word of God and committed deicide of Christ. While the Catholic Church has Jones on its radar, they caught in a conundrum. If they publicly excommunicate him publicly, Jones could become a Martyr enhancing his appeal. An example of Jones’ racism was a recent Van Zile article about Jones extolling Lithuanians in Chicago during the 1960’s Marquette riots who threw rocks at Dr. Martin Luther King. Van Zile points out that the Poway and Pittsburgh mass shooting manifestos affirmed Jones views. Jones has been interviewed by a prominent Catholic podcaster Patrick Coughlin. When confronted by Van Zile, Coughlin indicated that while he didn’t agree with Jones, he basically dismissed Van Zile’s concerns. Jones has also expressed his Jew hatred views on Iranian Press and Russian TV interviews. Jones’ views repudiate Vatican II doctrine under Nostre Aetate “in our time” reworked church understanding of the place of Jews in world. Jews were no longer responsible for the death of Christ. Jones repudiated Vatican II church doctrine. He views Jews as enemies since the Crucifixion of Christ. They should be placed in ghettos and eradicated, thereby legitimizing Christian pogroms against Jews. Moreover, Jones considers the Church adopting changes towards Jews amounting to Jews controlling the Church. Van Zile says that Jones anti-Semitic and racist views appeal to unhappy people looking for scapegoats for society’s decline. That is reflected in the screed from the recent mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton. Jones views that millennials in the US who feel hopeless and badly treated because Jews control the country. Van Zile addresses the peculiar position of the Vatican towards the modern State of Israel. While it signed a treaty with Israel and the Palestinian Authority with Israel in 1994, it has yet to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the sovereign Jewish nation of Israel. That may explain why the Vatican has recognized the Palestinian Authority. However, the Vatican’s position is reflective of the danger of the Christian population in the Holy Land. Van Zile noted that Muslim scholars objected to the Church’s reforms of relations with world Jewry under Vatican II. They wanted to retain Jewish deicde of Christ and supercessionism, replacement of Jews. Problem is that Muslim doctrine propounds supercessionism over both Christians and Jews. The Church’s problem is that it condemns Israel’s actions against Palestinians, but not Muslim hostility to Jews and Christians. It is fearful that to do so would arouse Jihadists against the Church.

Rod Reuven Dovid Bryant and Jerry Gordon interview Dexter Van Zile who reveals “stone cold Jew haters” - purveyors of vile anti-Zionist, Anti-Israel messaging that also targets the Jewish nation’s Christian Evangelical Zionist supporters. Van Zile is the Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA – the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA). His articles appear in Times of Israel, Jerusalem Post, the Algemeiner and on the CAMERA website: www.camera.org. The interview occurred following the 14th Washington Summit of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) with a membership of over 6 million in the US. Van Zile explained what drives CUFI Evangelical support for Israel. It is the aspirational core belief in the capacity to make lives better. In that sense Israel is regarding as a positive good in the world. It is also driven by remorse over the holocaust and lack of protection for Christians in the Middle East. Regarding Jewish Orthodox concerns over proselytizing in Israel, Van Zile pointed out that both CUFI and the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem disavow proselytizing. Internationally this core belief has propelled the growth of Evangelical and Pentecostal movements in Latin America, Africa and Asia. In African nations, like Uganda and Nigeria, it reflects Christian groups experience with Jihadist hostility. They consider the pro-Israel group to be the equivalent of ISIS and Al Qaeda spreading so-called “Christian Caliphate Sharia doctrine”. Van Zile drew attention to a former Boston Globe Middle East journalist, Charles Senott, attacking CUFI and Evangelicals as “Crazy Christians” fostering End Time Armageddon attacks in Jerusalem. That is based on the Y2K Millennial scare in the run up to the year 2000. Senott and the Ground Truth Project marginalize Christian Evangelicals as the equivalent of Jihadists. Then there is the case of arch Jew hater Owen Benjamin, a failed Hollywood comedian who got on You Tube to make serious, vile hateful videos about Jews. At his peak, Benjamin had over 250,000 subscribers. Benjamin monetized anti-Semitism on both YouTube and Pay Pal as he was driving traffic to both sites. While both YouTube and Pay Pal eventually demonetized Benjamin, his hateful videos can still be found on-line. Van Zile spoke of anti-Israel BDS resolutions of the UCC and Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA). Those began in 2005 directed at Israel building its security barrier following the Second Intifada. He considers their allegations as dishonest as they avoided discussing incitement to hate conveyed by Palestinian Imams on tv. He noted an Episcopal suffragan bishop caught engaging in spreading false witness testimony of alleged IDF mistreatment of Palestinians. Some pro-Israel groups of the UCC and PCUSA have given up battling with their anti-Israel leadership. Hence there were no pro-Israel resolutions introduced at recent assemblies. Van Zile spent the last five years attending Christ at the Checkpoint (CATC) conferences in Bethlehem targeting pro-Israel Evangelicals. At the 2018 CATC conference Van Zile challenged them about the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem’s role in Nazi Germany during WWII fostering the Holocaust. Leaders of the CATC asserted that was ‘untrue’. Some Mainline Protestant denominations turned from pro-Zionism with their attacks on growing evangelical movements in the 1920’s. Their missionizing/proselytizing overseas in the Middle East led some of these groups to espouse Arab nationalism, anti-Zionist, and anti-Israel positions. Van Zile discussed the World Vision International charity involved in conflict zones like Gaza. World Vision, originally established by Evangelicals who were anti-Communists, became anti-Israel in non-US European chapters soliciting funds from secular groups. World Vision International embraced an anti-Israel narrative because it raised money.
