Howie believes that Israel is not a Jewish State but rather a State of Jews. Not having Torah and G-d involved in the running of the State means that the State is separate from Judaism. Howie points out that Zionism is not Judaism.

Sharon argues that the ONLY criteria for being Jewish is a connection to the State and that Torah and G-d are not important.
