Zoabi's Family Arrested for Jenin Kidnap Threat

Mohammed Zoabi, the young Israeli-Arab from Nazareth who posted a pro-Israel video in English, Hebrew and Arabic condemning the kidnapping of Eyal Yifrah, Gil-Ad Shayer and Naftali Frenkel has gone to a safe location, following a kidnapping attempt against him.

Zoabi had reported previously on his Facebook page that he received death threats, but now it goes much farther than that.

Last night it was disclosed that police arrested Zoabi's father, uncle and grandmother, for threatening to kidnap him and take him to Palestinian Authority controlled Jenin, according to a Channel 2 report.

Zoabi's mother said she also identifies and sympathies with the families of the kidnapped boys. She told Channel 2 that she doesn't think Zoabi's father planned to actually hurt her son. She believes they only wanted Mohammed to lower his public profile of support for the kidnapped boys because of the threats the entire family received.

The grandmother and father told the court they only wanted Mohammed to lower his profile, because they were all getting threats. They "talked" to Mohammed to help him "put things into perspective", but they weren't actually going to take him to Jenin to have him hurt.

The judge believes they were going to go through with the threat.

As of this morning, police have extended the arrest of Mohammed's family.

Mohammed's cousin is none other than the anti-Zionist MK Hanin Zoabi, who, in her latest tirade, stated that the Hamas kidnappers are not terrorists. She also trash-talks her cousin Mohammed for his pro-Israel worldview.

If only he could be an MK instead of her.
