Maybe you don’t need to hear this, but it must be said to counter the voices arguing otherwise: You did not deserve this
This is a time that we need to dig deeper, muster all of our energy, courage and resources to stand tall and proud and to be practicing Jews.
When they do not contain a clear message and require interpretation, a crucial question arises: Who is empowered to interpret the dream?
Indeed, we are seeing a surge of feminine strength and resilience during these trying days for Israel and world Jewry. In our Jerusalem community, I am blown away by the acts of heroism and self-sacrifice that I am witnessing firsthand.
We should pay more respect to those who display moral courage and clear-headed moral principles.
Almost immediately following the deadly attack, and particularly after Israel’s declaration of war on Hamas, mass riots and rallies in support of Hamas sprung up all over the West. Iran’s information warfare machinery was in high gear in the United States and elsewhere.
On December 4, the Iran-backed Palestinian terror group Hamas announced the establishment of a new terrorist group in Lebanon....Hamas, in short, is saying that it is planning a similar invasion of Israel, but this time from Lebanon.
So far, the Biden administration has appeared unwilling even to entertain the thought of addressing Hamas's patron, Iran.
With regard to Lebanon, U.S.-Israel relations are on a collision course.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has every reason to welcome Sunni Arab immigrants.
Jewish students are being subjected to bullying acts intended to intimidate and harass them because of their actual or imagined support for Israel. Thankfully, there are legal tools available which can and must be used to assert and defend their civil rights.
It’s a crazy time to be a Jew.
Unfortunately, over the past several weeks, we have witnessed way too many adults and parents who have taken the liberty to discuss and describe in detail to one another the gruesome details of the October 7th massacre in the presence of their children and other children.
What the lack of an immediate Israeli victory has done is convince the Jew-haters who were always there that it is safe to come out and say what they really think.
After digging deep and forcing myself to come up with new material to thank Hashem for, I noticed more instances of Divine intervention throughout the week.

The very fact that I now clearly see what we stand for. I saw it before, but for some reason, since October 7, rather than feel ashamed to be a Jew, I feel even prouder.

On Oct. 7, some of the most fervent believers in peace with the Palestinians were reduced to ashes. Does he think Israel will now force 100,000 Jews to leave their homes in Judea and Samaria to create Hamastan?
'- JNS.org Einat Wilf also suggests linking humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip with a Palestinian peace pledge.
The name of this war is Swords of Iron – like the swords the Maccabees fought with – even though Israel’s military technology is ultra-modern and cutting edge.

Israeli intelligence failures – particularly those leading to the failure to warn of a large-scale attack, as suffered by Israel in the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023 – are typically followed by the creation of investigative committees that scrutinize intelligence processes, highlight gaps and vulnerabilities, and recommend mechanisms to prevent future failures. But without a profound cultural shift within the intelligence organization and its personnel – specifically, the integration of humility into the organizational DNA – these mechanisms will not deliver the desired outcome.

The assumption that, three decades later, the Palestinian Authority is going to embark on any serious reforms is a mirage. Abbas and the PA leadership will not change unless they are pressured to do so... One thing is clear: the Palestinian Authority is in no way, shape or form up to this job.

The JTA news service in their article on the death of Henry Kissinger stated "Regarded as a brilliant diplomatic strategist, Kissinger was one of the most influential Jewish figures of the 20th century..." Western leftists started vocally to express hatred of "imperialist Israel" and, ironically, the hard-won democratic freedoms they were at that moment enjoying to the fullest: freedom of speech, assembly, education, sexuality, and supposedly equal justice under the law.
Javier Milei has emerged as the Argentine president-elect, and Geert Wilder will become the prime minister of the Netherlands.

Albanese's farcical claim that Israel has no right to defend itself after the Hamas Massacre only leads her to the foolish, and deadly, claims that Israel should send the police into Gaza or have the UN stroll into Gaza to disarm Hamas.

Recently, over 50,000 people marched against anti-Semitism in London.
Abbas’ advisor before Hamas’ attack: We won’t attack Israel because we don’t have the “military capabilities”; Abbas’ advisor since the war: “The struggle in all its forms” – i.e., including terror - “won’t stop until the end of the occupation (i.e., Israel)”
Biden now seems to be adopting a very different stance, one where it appears ready to scale down its commitment to supporting Israel's right to self-defence, and destroying Hamas, in favour of a ceasefire deal that would essentially gift victory to Hamas.
Israel is being extremely vigilant in trying to reduce civilian casualties, yet Kemp said President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak regularly warn Israel to adhere to the laws of war and reduce civilian casualties to a minimum, even though they know precisely what the IDF is doing. This is nothing but theater to placate constituents and others who oppose Israel.
Polling shows that the overwhelming majority of Americans support Israel in this war and want it to destroy Hamas; the overwhelming majority of lawmakers from both parties share that view.
So far the Democrats continue to mock Trump and refuse to take him seriously. This could cost the Democrats dearly. For even if the solutions that Trump suggests appear weird the problems he raises are real.
It is false morality to cry for the children of Gaza killed inadvertently while Israel targets Hamas-ISIS murderers and, as collateral damage, unavoidably kills Hamas’s human shields. A war must be won

Protests are done by angry people with masks over their faces, waving banners and signs in support of Hamas terrorists, defacing public property, burning flags of Israel and America.... The rally I attended had none of those things. It was peaceful and organized.

:I have my own idea, which is that the Israelis carefully and quickly turn the administration over to Gazans who are opposed to Hamas, opposed to the goal of destroying Israel. Gazans who are willing to live in a neighborly way next to Israel."
One thing that is clear from this war is that Hamas must be taken out of the picture. It is not that we did not know before this that they were intent upon the destruction of the Jewish state. Rather, the calculation was whether they could be contained at a lower cost than having to uproot them.
Once again it is shocking to me that while we hold our collective breath and pray for the hostages and our soldiers and ourselves, daily life and all its messiness still swirls around us.

If such a large number of Palestinians in the West Bank support the murder of Israelis and Hamas, it is safe to assume that a new "Palestinian state" would be controlled by Hamas or another genocidal, antisemitic terror group.

Negotiating with Hamas for the release of the hostages in Gaza through comprehensive, all-inclusive deals mediated by Qatar (“everyone for everyone”) would undermine Israel’s strategy in the Swords of Iron war. It’s time to make a fundamental change in Israel’s policy on this issue and readopt the Entebbe Doctrine, which can save the lives of the current hostages and prevent the taking of more in the future.
