As a visitor from New York, I was eagerly anticipating the sunny weather, refreshing pools, and iconic palm trees. This hotel delivered on all fronts.

On July 25, 2024, Rabbi Levi Slonim was the guest Chaplain offering the opening prayer in Congress, the House of Representatives. His invitation was spurred on by freshman Congressman Marcus Molinaro (R – Catskill, Greene County).
As expected, numerous government ministers lauded the new law as a means of embracing new immigrants and encouraging aliyah, and – also as expected – some members of the media have protested that this benefit will result in the loss to the government of millions of shekels.
While it is now known that Yad Avshalom was built about 1,000 years after the death of the Biblical Avshalom, it is not known who commissioned the monument – although the Biblical account in Shmuel Bet (2 Samuel) suggests that it was built by Avshalom himself, as discussed below.

He was a fierce defender of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s legacy. Even if someone didn’t think they offended the Rebbe’s reputation, if he thought the person did, you received a phone call explaining the situation from his point of view.

It's always tempting to play the victim card when something we've worked hard on is ruined. However, throwing a pity party or dwelling on the offender’s punishment is not the Jewish way.
Ceaseless, persistent negative speech, lashon hara, can cripple, devastate, and destroy a person’s future and is the verbal equivalent of a barrage of missiles that demolishes a building.
It is a day when being part of the klal will supersede being an individual; it is a day of contradictions, an awkward fusion of happy birthday wishes and the start of the saddest time period of the year.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Friday morning, July 26, the overnight crew at Zadies Kosher Bake Shop felt an unusual amount of heat and smelled smoke. Upon exiting the building into the rear parking lot, they saw smoke coming from the rear of Green Dragon Asian Cuisine, a non-kosher restaurant at the far end of the shopping center. They quickly called 911.
There is a distinct pattern of behavior for each individual, but even more fascinating is that others with whom we have no contact, who live elsewhere on the globe, eat different foods, have different lifestyles, experience many of these same behaviors.
It is crucial for parents to think clearly and stay calm – not an easy thing to do when a child is in the midst of a full blown tantrum, complete with kicking, screaming, and breaking things. Parents should also avoid turning the episode into a power struggle.
Investors tend to make drastic decisions when they are feeling scared, greedy, or impatient. Unfortunately, these impulsive moves rarely, if ever, work out. Emotional decisions have no place in the world of successful investing.
Unfortunately, often parents can raise many children while many children cannot always care for their parents properly. It is so important that those who are suffering have a support group to turn to to help them through this difficult time period.
